While I plan to write several reviews about albums I missed in 2020, that doesn’t mean we don’t recognize that new music is already here. Enjoy these brand new singles from some of my favorites!

Mike Viola is back, as a hip vampire in the new video for ‘Drug Rug,’ a track off his upcoming LP Godmuffin. Directed by Caitlin Gerard, the video opens with Viola lying on a float in Mandy Moore’s pool. It gets weirder from there. Godmuffin arrives on 12/11/20.
Muck and The Mires have a less sophisticated video, but “Six O’Clock Baby” from the new LP Take Me Back To Planet Earth is a really catchy tune and the monster theme means it gets posted here today! Get the album on Amazon
The 1957 Tail-Fin Fiasco charms us with this piano melody about getting married 29 times. “Monogamy will be the death of me” he sings. I agree with that one! It’s a free downloadable treat and the bands got a cool video too!
Erik Voeks has been one of my favorite DIY rockers for years, but this timely political gem is one of the best singles I’ve heard in a long time. His new band The Ghosters have bumped up his stock quite a lot here!
Brent Winder the singer/songwriter for “Sons of Great Dane” is back working on a new solo album, and this single “Around The Bend” is a richly arranged gem. It’s a FREEBIE that shouldn’t be missed.
The ever-present Vista Blue is back, saying goodbye to summer in a mashup of Ramones and Beach Boys glory. Speaking of the Beach Boys, are you a fan of Brian or Mike?
The Junior League (Joe Adragna) kicks major ass here with Scott the Hoople on this Monkees meets Dylan single “Summer of Flies.” Great summer tunes on this EP.
The Easter bunny dropped off some wonderful music in my inbox this week. Rather than hide them I’d like to share these goodies with you…
The Well Wishers reflect on flection, hope, family, and charity…all bolstered by a four-minute blast of uplifting power-pop melodicism.
Ken Sharp has released the Davy Jones charity single, “Girl” b/w “Forget That Girl.” “Girl” is the song Davy famously performed on “The Brady Bunch” while “Forget That Girl” is a fantastic Monkees track featured on their “Headquarters” album. All proceeds of the sales of the songs will go to Davy’s charity of choice, the Davy Jones Equine Memorial Foundation, which benefits his herd of horses.
Justine and the Unclean are back. They are a talented women-fronted garage/punk/power-pop band with some new tunes. Fans of Joan Jett wanna hear this one.
On the soft pop side, SA Reyners delivers a single so sweet and catchy I can’t resist it. Dig that bassline! No relation to The Cufflinks (Ron Dante) golden oldie hit of the same name.
OK, I know nothing about this band except they do their best to imitate The Dukes of The Stratosphear. I give Cherry Parke credit for going there and it’s a FREE download.
